Here More collected the voices and stories of disabled people living in Norfolk to create a thought provoking performance.
Phase one: Compass Dance created specialised workshops that offered participants a creative outlet for self-expression. Weekly sessions took place in rural residential care homes and community hubs in Norfolk. Each session provided disabled participants a physically uplifting experience which encouraged and supported individuals to share their feelings and stories.
Gaelin and Rosa worked alongside musician David Ross who captured audio sounds and voices from each place and person involved in the project. The recordings were then transformed into a textured soundscape which beautifully captured the process of the movement workshops.
Phase two: Participants came together to create a performance that was shared at Stage 2 Theatre, using the ideas, themes and soundscore developed in phase one. You can watch a recording of the live show here.
